US ELECTIONS
The best combination of work, professional affinities, and satisfaction, since 2008
Interest in this event, or rather a political phenomenon, seems to have stemmed from our organization members’ education in the field of political science. Monitoring the process of electing the most powerful political actor of the most powerful country in the world is, in fact, not a matter of choice for political scientists.
That is why, for us, the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November, every fourth year, is the day awaited impatiently, and analyzes, projections, and discussions begin as early as 18 months before the November day.
OUR STORY
Serbian-American relations over the centuries
The ‘Our Story: Serbian-American Relations over the Centuries’ project started in the spring of 2018 with the idea marking 136 years since the establishment of relations between Serbia and the United States, 100 years since the establishment of the first military alliance, but also with a desire for a deeper understanding of the shared history and ‘use’ of history lessons in building a brighter future.
KOSOVO
A great challenge for our generation
CSDRI addresses this political issue through active participation in dialogues and deliberations on Kosovo issue with stakeholders, such as NGOs and think tanks, Office for Kosovo and Metohija, National Convention on the EU and working group for Chapter 35, etc. We also build and maintain intensive relations and cooperation with societal and political actors in Kosovo, among both Serbs and Albanians.
LEADERSHIP ACADEMY FOR DEVELOPMENT
The Role of Public Policy in Private Sector Development
From June 25 to 29, 2018, in partnership with the Center for Democracy, Development, and Rule of Law of Stanford University (CDDRL) and the Faculty of Political Sciences, our organization conducted a professional development program named Leadership Academy for Development: The Role of Public Policy in Private Sector Development. The program was implemented with the financial and logistical support of the Balkan Trust for Democracy of the German Marshall Fund of the United States.
GOVERNANCE
Political development in Serbia and in the region
Recently, our organization has expanded its focus on governance. In that field, we are going to address particular problems and solutions such as convening and functioning of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, elections in Serbia, as well as general political development in Serbia and in the region.
CSDRI is a member of the National Convention on the European Union and is engaged through an intersectoral working group that focuses on political criteria.
For more than a decade now, members of CSDRI are working on political development, especially with the topics related to the governance of the state and society, and political accountability.
